Infrared Block Wall Scan
Concrete walls can be dangerous without proper grouting and rebar. This can reduce the structural capacity of the systems and can limit the effectiveness of the steel reinforcement. If these voids collect water it can lead to interior damage and corrosion of the reinforcement.Call Us Today

How Block Wall Infrared Scans Work
The solar loading of the sun is typically all that is needed for the heating of the wall. During the warming cycle of the morning the areas with more mass are cooler. During the cooling cycle of the evening the area with more mass are warmer.
Blockwall infrared scanning is an accurate, effective and non-destructive way to find grouted cells and insulation in a wall CMU wall. Infrared testing can be performed at any time during the construction process, without delaying or interrupting any other trades or affecting the progress of construction. It is also possible with the right conditions that the inspection can be carried out after the building is completed.
Two benefits arise from having a block wall infrared scan performed on your newly constructed CMU walls. First, a documented record of the grouted cells and other structural components is created. Secondly, when and if deficiencies are found, a report can be generated so that corrections can be made with surgical precision.
